The story behind Eden May

It wasn't that long ago that I was literally about to give up on my art. I'm Christye, and I’ve been drawing and painting all my life. But the exclusive art world of galleries and auction houses never felt open to me.
Then one day I just wondered what my painting could look like on silk. After designing and sampling my idea, I absolutely fell in love with it. The idea of making beautiful things that could be worn, styled and treasured by others was so exciting.
So I started sharing my scarves online. It turned out so many people resonated with finding things that were made well, told a story and were designed by hand.
So I embraced the unknown and built my own slow fashion brand from scratch - by myself, alongside my full time job.
My first design that got real attention was my Butter Yellow. Millions of views later, since then this community has just grown bigger and bigger. It's still at the early stages, it's still all run by me alone. I pack every order myself with a handwritten note and I intend to keep that going for as long as I can.
I just can't believe this is my life, and I'm so happy you're here supporting my dream.

Everything I make is intended to be limited edition, seasonal and made from natural, sustainable fabrics, particularly silk. I'm learning as I go and I really want to share that journey with you as much as I can.
